PowerStrength athletes had a very strong spring season on the playing field!
Whether it was winning a state championship as a team, or an individual, or being recognized as an All-Conference or All-State selection, these athletes have displayed tremendous abilities, character, and growth.

SOFTBALL
The Hudsonville softball team won the Division 1 state championship and sophomore shortstop Tessa Heffelbower was right in the middle of all the Eagles success.
Heffelbower went 4-6 with 5 runs batted in, 2 doubles, a triple, and 3 runs scored combined in the state semifinal and final played at Michigan State University. She was acknowledged as an All-State and All-Conference selection!
Freshman Lauren Luchies also played a prominent role on the Hudsonville team with 3 hits including a double, a runs scored, and 2 driven in combined in the 2 games at MSU.

SOCCER
On the pitch, Unity Christian brought home its 2nd straight state title in division 3 and 12th overall. The Saders were led by senior forward Vivian Nagelkirk who scored a team-best 22 goals, Ava Lutke had a goal and assist in the title game, Ava Steen (defense), and Anna Newhof (goalie) led an outstanding defense that only allowed 13 totals goals in 24 games that included an amazing 15 shutouts. All 4 were All-State and All-Conference picks this season.

LACROSSE
In girls lacrosse, Grand Rapids Catholic Central won the Division 2 State Title. Senior Sarah Rott and Junior Cate Marshall each scored 3 times in the 10-9 title tilt win over Detroit Country Day. Rott was 2nd on the team in goals (71) this season and led the Cougars in assists (40) while Marshall was 3rd in goals (69) and 2nd in assists (37). Both were All-State and All-Conference selections.
