87 PowerStrength Athletes Earn Postseason Honors This Spring

The Spring 2026 season is now complete, and it produced a remarkable collection of individual and team achievements. PowerStrength athletes made their presence felt across West Michigan on the playing field.

87 PowerStrength athletes earned postseason recognition across nine sports — baseball, softball, track, lacrosse, soccer, golf, tennis, water polo, and volleyball. The depth and quality of performances this Spring were outstanding, representing schools from across the region.

State championships. All-Americans. Multi-sport All-State honorees. A golfer who climbed the podium in a tougher division.

Read below for highlights of these standout performances.

BIG MOMENTS FROM THE SPRING SEASON

Lyla Vogt, Rockford — Lacrosse

Lyla Vogt had the kind of Spring that defines a career. She earned All-American honors — the highest individual recognition in high school lacrosse — while also earning All-State honors for the second consecutive season. More than that, she helped lead the Rockford girls lacrosse program to a State Championship. It was a complete, dominant chapter and she still has one more high school year in front of her.

Ava Steen, Unity Christian — Soccer

Ava Steen has been a constant presence on one of the most dominant programs in Michigan high school soccer. She was on the Unity Christian Varsity roster all four years and earned All-Conference and All-State recognition in each of her final three seasons. This Spring, she helped lead Unity Christian to its fourth consecutive state championship. Four seasons. Four titles. That kind of sustained excellence at the team level — and the individual consistency to match — is rare.

Will Orme, Calvin Christian — Golf

Will Orme’s state tournament trajectory tells the story as well as anything. As a Sophomore, he finished 7th at the individual state finals. As a Junior, he finished 8th. This Spring as a Senior, he climbed to 3rd — and did it in Division 3, after Calvin Christian moved up a division from Division 4, where he competed his first three seasons. Finishing 3rd in a tougher division than the one you’ve competed in before is the definition of rising to the moment. Will is also a two-sport All-State athlete, having earned All-State honors in basketball as a Junior and Senior.

WHAT THEY’RE SAYING

Many of these athletes have been working on their development at PowerStrength for years — and the results keep showing up when it matters most.

Will Orme, Calvin Christian Golf All-State honoree, finished 3rd individually at the state finals this Spring. The two-sport All-State athlete has been training at PowerStrength since his Sophomore year:

“PowerStrength is the next step to success. If there’s anybody out there stuck in a spot, I’d tell them to start lifting. Whether it’s balance, stability, speed, or strength — it all comes from lifting. PowerStrength has helped me take that next step.”

KV Korenstra, Grand Haven Track All-State honoree, trained at PowerStrength through the Fall football season before carrying that momentum into his Spring track campaign:

“A lot more confident, because I know a lot of these kids in our conference are huge. They’re fast or explosive. Being able to get closer to that level makes me feel a lot more confident going on the field knowing I can make an impact.”

Tessa Heffelbower, Hudsonville Softball All-State honoree and Central Michigan signee, has never believed in taking a true off-season — and her Spring résumé reflects that:

“We play almost every single day during high school, but me and my teammates still find time to get in here during the week. I think that helps us get that 1% better every day, and it sets us apart when it’s tournament time.”

Dexter Lillmars, Fruitport Baseball All-Conference and All-District honoree, has been training at PowerStrength since middle school and continues to add to an already impressive résumé heading into his Junior season:

“Confidence-wise, knowing that you’re working on getting more athletic in those areas that other people might not be doing.”

THE STANDARD

What connects every name on this list is the decision they made to invest in themselves, show up consistently, and do the work that most athletes their age won’t do.

That commitment doesn’t guarantee a state championship or individual postseason recognition — but it does create the conditions for great things to happen.

Congratulations to all 87 athletes on a strong Spring season!

Did we miss someone? If a PowerStrength athlete earned postseason recognition this Spring and isn’t on this list, please let us know and we’ll get them added right away.  Email jason@powerstrengthpro.com with additions.
