From Recovery to Rise: How Hayden Fee Transformed His Game at PowerStrength

Hayden Fee has always had big goals. Since he was a little kid, he dreamed of playing college football.

As a standout offensive and defensive lineman in the class of 2026 at Holland Christian, those dreams are now within reach — thanks to hard work, perseverance, and the right training environment.

OVERCOMING INJURY

After his sophomore season in 2023, Hayden underwent knee surgery. Instead of letting the injury set him back, he used it as fuel.

He came to PowerStrength Jenison in the summer of 2024 during his rehab process, determined to get better and stronger. The mission wasn’t just to get back to where he was — it was to level up.

“I came in last summer after recovering from a knee surgery that I had after my sophomore football season,” Hayden shared. “And I noticed the strength getting built back up in both legs, not just the leg that I had the surgery on.”

Under the watchful eye of certified PowerStrength coaches, Hayden built total-body power, not just rehabbing but transforming. He gained muscle, developed explosive strength, and sharpened his athleticism across the board.

“I think I competed better this year more than any other year,” Hayden said, “especially coming off the training at PowerStrength.”

ON-FIELD RESULTS

That increased strength and speed translated directly to the field. He was more explosive off the ball, more confident in the trenches, and more dominant on both sides.

“I felt a lot stronger this past season compared to all the other seasons,” Hayden said. “I’m an offensive and defensive line guy, so I definitely felt it even just going against my teammates that I’ve been around — especially speed and getting off the ball. The ability to work better, push-pull moves from all the strength that I’ve gained, and even my speed to chase down people.”

His father, Tony, also saw the change up close: “He was always a standout, but that downturn and not being able to run for 7 months — if we hadn’t come to PowerStrength for the summer, we would have probably lost a whole year.”

PREPARING FOR THE FUTURE

When PowerStrength Holland opened in November 2024, Hayden made the switch to the new state-of-the-art location closer to home. He immediately became a core part of the gym’s athlete community, continuing to thrive.

“I just really enjoyed the coaching and how it felt more one-on-one than it did at my school,” Hayden said. “Doing summer training where you’ve got big groups of kids and only really one teacher — in here, it’s a lot smaller group. I just like how every coach always pushes you and makes sure you’re doing everything as good as you can.”

That environment has allowed Hayden to chase his goals — and achieve results. In camps and combines, he’s stood out:

“I went to one of the Legacy Football lineman camps, and I got top 5 O-line, which was really big for me,” he said. “I went to a Davenport University football camp. We did the 40-yard dash and 5-10-5 shuttle, and I felt like I stood out compared to the other linemen who were there. I felt way faster than everybody else.”

His goal is clear and unwavering: “My personal goal is to ball out on both sides of the ball and make it to the next level — whether it’s D1, D2, D3. I just want to play ball.”

That dream is no longer just a vision. It’s within reach.

“The dream is just to put the pads on again after the end of your senior high school football season,” Tony added. “So that’s definitely obtainable — thanks to PowerStrength.”

THE POWERSTRENGTH DIFFERENCE

Hayden’s consistent dedication and the high-performance environment at PowerStrength have helped him rise to a new level.

“It’s probably one of the best places that you’re going to find in the state of Michigan,” Hayden said. “I absolutely love it. I love coming to every session. It’s way better than the training that you’re going to get from school, and it’s definitely worth what you’re paying for. And you can definitely expect results from it.”

Hayden’s story shows what the structure, focus, and athlete-first culture at PowerStrength can provide. It’s not just about lifting weights. It’s about building a complete athlete, preparing for the next level, and turning big dreams into real opportunities.

Hayden’s journey is far from over — but his transformation is well underway.
