The Lowell Four Horsemen: How Four Seniors Used PowerStrength to Level Up — Together

Brady Smith, Brody Lehman, Jack Iakiri, and Nathen Raison have been investing in their development at PowerStrength for years — and this past Fall, it showed.

The four Lowell Seniors helped lead the Red Arrows to the state football semifinals, with each of them turning in standout seasons built on a foundation of consistent, expert training.

Rather than ride off into the sunset on the strength of those results, they came back.

This Winter, all four enrolled in PowerStrength’s Premier Advanced Training Program, pushed each other harder than ever, and when the Winter Premier Combine wrapped up, every one of them had numbers that reflect exactly what years of commitment to this process looks like.

Four guys. Four college futures. One standard.

Brady Smith | Football & Track and Field | Deciding Between Air Force Academy, Naval Academy, and Northwood

Brady Smith started training at PowerStrength in his Sophomore year, and the results have been building ever since. This past Fall, he stepped onto the football field as a stronger, faster, more complete athlete — and earned AP All-State honors to prove it.

“My Senior year, I was way bigger and faster, and it felt like a totally different game,” he said. It felt way slower. I was way better. I got All-State, and if you told me that before the season, I wouldn’t have even believed it, honestly.”

That version of Brady was already impressive. Then came the Winter Premier program — and he took it to another level entirely.

He entered the program at 196 pounds, with a broad jump under 100 inches – and goals he wasn’t sure he could hit.

By the time the Winter Premier Combine arrived, he was at 218 pounds — over 20 pounds of added muscle — ran a 4.67 in the 40-yard dash, a 114-inch broad jump, and 20 reps on the 225-pound bench press.

“The progress I made over the past three months has been insane for me. I ran a sub 4.7, which was a big goal of mine, and my broad jump was a 114, which was way better than I’ve ever done before.

To gain 20-plus pounds and still run a 4.67 fully-electric 40-yard dash is genuinely rare. Brady credits the coaching, the culture, and finally dialing in his nutrition.

“I think I just listened to the coaches here. It’s hard work, but it’s fun coming in here and lifting with all the guys. The biggest thing for me was keeping up on my nutrition throughout the day, which I finally dialed in this Winter. That was a game-changer.”

With a multi-sport background that includes track and field — he competes in the 100 meters, shot put, and discus — Brady heads into his Spring season with more tools than ever, and a big college decision still ahead between the Air Force Academy, Naval Academy, and Northwood.

Winter Premier Combine Results:

  • 40-Yard Dash: 4.67 sec
  • 20-Yard Shuttle: 4.47 sec
  • 225 lb Bench: 20 reps
  • Broad Jump: 114 inches
  • Vertical Jump: 35.5 inches

Brody Lehman | Football | Committed to Northern Michigan University

Brody Lehman has been a PowerStrength athlete longer than almost anyone in his class. He first walked through the doors in sixth grade, and the investment has paid off in every season since.

“I’ve been coming to PowerStrength since I was really young,” he said. I’ve been here for a long time, and it’s been awesome.”

Over those years, Brody has grown from a young athlete into a college-ready football player — adding muscle, becoming more explosive, and building the kind of confidence that shows up when the lights are on.

“I feel a lot more confident on the field. Since I did Premier last year and into this year, during the season I felt a lot faster, a lot stronger, and I was just more confident in myself — in my ability to make plays.

Brody was also the one who recruited some of his Lowell teammates to PowerStrength. When asked what he told them, his answer was simple.

“I told them it’s amazing. The coaches here are amazing. It’s the place to be, you’re going to see the results. You’re going to get faster and stronger, and everything’s going to change.”

Now heading to Northern Michigan University, Brody knows that the years he’s put into PowerStrength have him prepared for what’s next.

“College is different than high school. This prepares me physically — putting on more size, getting faster and stronger, and just being more prepared for that next level.”

Winter Premier Combine Results:

  • 40-Yard Dash: 4.91 sec
  • 20-Yard Shuttle: 4.31 sec
  • 225 lb Bench: 10 reps
  • Broad Jump: 106 inches
  • Vertical Jump: 29.0 inches

Jack Iakiri | Football & Lacrosse | Committed to North Central College

Jack Iakiri isn’t new to performance training.

Before PowerStrength, he spent multiple years training at two other options in the area. He joined PowerStrength’s Premier program in January 2025, and the difference was immediate.

“It’s nothing like I’ve ever done before,” Jack said. ”No other workout company or classes. Nothing I’ve done before compares.”

What sets it apart for Jack isn’t just the programming — it’s the environment and the one-on-one attention from the coaches.

We have 6 to 7 guys in each session, but it almost feels like you’re still doing one-on-one with the coaches because of how attentive they are to the details while you’re working out. And the guys around you — everyone’s hyping each other up. Doesn’t matter if you’re doing less weight than somebody or the most weight in the room, everyone’s going 100% the whole time.”

That investment in the prior Spring and Summer paid dividends on the football field last Fall. Jack said he and his Lowell teammates felt like they had an edge all season long because of the work they had already put in.

“I always felt like during football lifts and workouts this year, we were always kind of a step ahead of everybody because we were already doing that all Winter and all Spring.”

The bond built in the weight room deepened the friendships too.

“Those guys are already my best friends, but I feel like we got honestly a little closer at PowerStrength because of how tough the workouts get.”

Now committed to North Central College in Illinois, Jack is confident the preparation he’s put in will matter the moment he steps on campus.

“I know a lot of guys go into Freshman year workouts and it’s like nothing they’ve ever done before. But we do high-intensity workouts here. I’m not saying they’re the same thing as college workouts, but I’ll be ready when I get to campus.”

Winter Premier Combine Results:

  • 40-Yard Dash: 5.40 sec
  • 20-Yard Shuttle: 4.93 sec
  • 225 lb Bench: 18 reps
  • Broad Jump: 84 inches
  • Vertical Jump: 23.0 inches

Nathen Raison | Football & Baseball | Committed to Alma College (Football)

Nathen Raison is a two-sport athlete heading to Alma College to play football, and his Winter Premier Combine results reflect an athlete who has been building toward this moment for years. A strong broad jump, a sub-4.9 forty, and 15 reps on the 225-pound bench paint the picture of a football player ready for the next level.

Nathen and Brody Lehman have been training at PowerStrength together since Middle School — the longest-tenured members of this group. That shared history, both on the field and in the weight room, is a big part of what makes this group of four something special. For Nathen, that investment has never been just personal. It’s been about making the whole Lowell program better.

Winter Premier Combine Results:

  • 40-Yard Dash: 4.89 sec
  • 225 lb Bench: 15 reps
  • Broad Jump: 87 inches
  • Vertical Jump: 29.5 inches

More Than a Workout. A Brotherhood.

When you talk to these four, the theme that keeps coming up isn’t the Combine numbers or the college commitments — it’s each other.

Brady said it best: “Those are my lifelong friends. I’m sure I’ll be friends with them well past high school. And it’s great because it makes our team a lot better to have us all here.”

That’s the part that doesn’t show up in a stat line.

Four guys choosing to put in extra work together, when nobody was making them. Pushing each other in the sessions, holding each other accountable, and showing up every Fall as the guys who were already a step ahead — because they never really stopped working.

They helped lead Lowell to the state football semifinals. They all have opportunities to play at the next level. And they spent one more Winter doing what they’ve always done — putting the work in, together.

When asked to describe PowerStrength, the answers said everything:

“A game-changer.” — Brady Smith

“So helpful. Physically, you get stronger and more prepared, and that helps you mentally to be more confident when you’re playing your sport.” — Brody Lehman

“Different. It’s not like the rest.” — Jack Iakiri

Congratulations to Brady, Brody, Jack, and Nathen on an outstanding Winter — and on everything that came before it. Lowell is going to miss you. The college programs that get you are lucky to have you.
