When South Christian Junior Nate Farrell decided to switch where he trained, he wasn’t just looking for a new gym — he was looking for a new standard.
After spending nearly 6 years training elsewhere, Nate joined PowerStrength Training Systems in August 2024, just before undergoing Tommy John surgery. He wanted a program that would be more personalized, more baseball-specific, and designed around his goals.
“It was a really big step,” Nate said. “I wanted something new and more targeted for me and for my goals.”

RECOVERING AND REFOCUSING
The surgery forced Nate to rethink his game. Once a pitcher, he’s now fully focused on becoming the best shortstop he can be. And since joining PowerStrength, his results speak volumes — Nate has gained 20 pounds of muscle while significantly improving his speed, power, and confidence on the field.
“I do a lot more lateral movements and rotational work here,” Nate explained. “That really helps me gain more power and speed.”

STAYING MENTALLY STRONG THROUGH RECOVERY
Even when Nate couldn’t throw after surgery, PowerStrength gave him a plan — something to focus on and attack.
“They gave me stuff to work on still,” he said. “It’s tough when you can’t throw, but it gave me something to push for — getting bigger, stronger, and building back up.”
That focus paid off. Nate returned to the field fully recovered — faster, stronger, and more confident than ever.

RESULTS THAT SHOW UP ON THE FIELD
Now that he’s back in action, Nate sees the difference every time he takes the field.
“On the field, I’ve definitely seen it with my speed and power,” Nate said. “I’m stealing more bags and hitting more balls to the wall now.”
As Nate’s strength and skill have grown, so has his belief in himself.
The work he’s put in at PowerStrength hasn’t just changed how he plays – it’s changed how he carries himself. He steps on the field now with a quiet confidence, knowing the effort behind every rep and every session has prepared him for these moments.
“I’m definitely more confident. I know that I can throw the ball harder, hit it harder, and I can go into the box feeling like I can do damage,” Nate said.

When asked if he had any regrets on his decision to join, Nate says he’s confident he made the right move.
“It’s really personalized here,” Nate said. “There are fewer athletes in each session, it’s more focused on each sport, and you get a lot more out of it.”
A POSITIVE, COMPETITIVE ENVIRONMENT
Beyond the individualized training, Nate loves the energy and atmosphere at PowerStrength.
“You get hyped up, it’s fun, we joke around, but we push hard too,” he said.
That balance of focus and fun keeps him motivated and excited to train week after week.

TRANSFORMING STRENGTH AND CONFIDENCE
From recovering from Tommy John surgery to adding size, speed, and mental toughness, Nate has seen firsthand what makes PowerStrength different.
“I wish I had come here sooner,” he said. “I was always stuck as a smaller kid. Now I’ve seen a huge jump — everyone always tells me how much bigger and stronger I look.”

And when asked to describe PowerStrength in one word?
“PowerStrength is a game-changer.”
