This is a great story that describes the work ethic that many of our athletes at PowerStrength possess. Bennett Dipzinski started training with us in January of 2012. His main focus was lacrosse but he also started on the football team. Like all athletes who come to us, he was looking to improve his performance and in his case, he HAD to improve his speed and gain strength. Bennett’s main goal was to play D1 lacrosse. To put it frankly, he had a lot of work to do if he was going to accomplish his goal but he was determined.
Bennett made his training and nutrition a top priority, didn’t miss workouts, and soaked up the knowledge and atmosphere every day. If you put a kid like Bennett, who has a big dream and strong work ethic, in an environment with other like-minded athletes then it’s only a matter of time before he’ll taste success.
After months of training Bennett transformed himself. He got stronger, improved his body composition, and had a HUGE increase in his speed (5.2 to a 4.7 in the 40-yd dash!). He used his new physical skills on the lacrosse field and put his time in with some great teams and coaches. Bennett made his goal A LIFESTYLE and never made excuses. (You can check out his Before and After photos here…https://powerstrengthpro.com/oldsite/success/).
A ton of athletes train hard. What separates them is the willingness to go beyond what they thought possible and make sacrifices. Not everyone wants it bad enough. Talk is SO cheap. Bennett walked the talk and devoted his time, own money, and took care of his body and nutrition outside of the gym. All the hours, months, and years of training in the gym and on the field finally paid off.
I was honored when Bennett asked if he could do his signing event at the gym (literally in the gym!). He has officially accepted a scholarship to play lacrosse at Hartford University, a Division 1 school in Connecticut.
Mission Accomplished.
All of us at PSTS are very proud of the hard work Bennett put in and I know this work ethic he has developed will carry him through a successful college career.
